Q. I don't need to lose weight- I just want to be more toned- is Oxygen Personal Training for me?
Absolutely - The end goal of all our personal training programs are sexy toned bodies. The training and nutrition required for weight loss is very similar to the training and nutrition required for toning - there are just some different tweaks we add based on where a client's body is right now. For those who have built up a good level of fitness and strength in our training programs we have two programs Body Sculpt and Maximise to get you to the next level of toning.
Q. Will you help me with my nutritional habits?
Yes, the Oxygen BurnFatTone Program includes the BurnFatTone Nutritional Coaching component. We believe in helping you in every way possible to get to that body you desire. Nutrition is essential for your fitness success.
The BurnFatTone Nutritional coaching component will help clear any previous confusion and lay out how to properly eat for maximum fitness results in minimum time.
Q. Do you give your clients a diet?
We show our clients how to eat healthier as a lifestyle; that is the main goal. We do share with them what to eat for breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner so they know exactly what to eat. Most of our clients say this has been one of the easiest ways to eat that they ever tried, to lose weight. Andy just lost 11kgs and said, "This has been so easy! I feel like I eat a lot of the same foods, you just show me how to do it better."
Q. How can you guarantee results?

Q. How long will it take for me to see results?
Following the BurnFatTone system you will experience measurable results in your first week of training. You can expect to see significant progress toward your goals within 4-8 weeks.
Obviously if you want to lose 25 kilos, 4-8 weeks will bring significant progress, but it may still take much longer to reach your ultimate goal.
Clients who want to be more toned will experience visible results in the first 4-8 weeks.
Q. I hired a personal trainer before and all we did was go from machine to machine and count reps, is that what you do?
Definitely not. Here at Oxygen Personal Training we guide you along through your quest for fitness, remember we're not just personal trainers, we're fitness coaches. It's not about just training you and then leaving you in the dust afterward.
We're here to answer your nutrition questions, educate you in the most effective exercise, motivate you to continue going and keep you accountable to that plan. With our help you'll avoid the confusion, the gimmicks, and the outright lies from the diet and weight loss industries.
Sadly I have heard many terrible tales about personal trainers - before training with me one of my clients trained with a trainer and by themselves for more than 6 sessions per week at the gym and did not achieve any results over a three month period - at Oxygen she dropped 15 kilos in her first 16 weeks and is now up to 21kgs of fat loss.
Another client stuck with their old trainer for 18 months without getting a result before coming to Oxygen.
Q.
How many days a week should I meet with my trainer?
That depends on your goals and current level of fitness. For most people 3 or 4 times per week is just about right to see progress at an accelerated pace.
Q. What if I am going to go away during my program?
A lot of our clients travel for work or like to go on holidays. We have flexibility built into all of our programs.
Q. What if I know I am going to miss my session?
We recommend that you diary your sessions but we understand that all our clients have commitments with work and family- you have flexibility to attend extra sessions times if you have missed your scheduled training times so you don't get behind in your training.
Q. Do I need to do any other workouts on my own?
Clients starting out with no fitness at all will find 3 sessions in the studio more than enough to receive and sustain results. As clients build their fitness we encourage them to do some extra sessions during the week - these may include cardio training, stretching and strength. Extra workouts never need to be at the same intensity as the sessions in the studio.

Q. Should I get fit before I start an Oxygen program?
Our sessions are in the fastest, safest and most sustainable way to build your fitness. In addition you are working at your own pace in the sessions so you won't be left behind or feel that you don't know what you are doing.

Q. Do I need to get a membership to a gym?
No - joining a gym membership is one of the most ineffective ways to make a change to your body. Most people sign up for the gym for a whole 12 months and visit with less and less frequency- if you only made it to the gym once per month that's a $99 session- once every two months that's a $198 session - just to work out by yourself.
No one at the gym is going to know your name, give you the knowledge to work out correctly, keep you accountable by giving you a call if you miss a workout or ensure that your program has the correct intensity to keep you getting results week after week.
Your sessions at Oxygen are going to be most efficient workouts you have ever done. As you progress in your program, if you decide you want to devote a lot of time to training because you now love it or you want to take your results well beyond the next level we will work with you to create a plan of action based on what you love doing.
Q. Isn't cardio better for burning off fat?
Some people try doing endless hours of cardio before they come to us for help. You've seen it before the heavy aerobics instructor or the heavy nurse who walks all day long. The numerous people lined up on the treadmills who aren't reaching their goals.
While cardio can certainly be an important part of an overall fitness program, without the strength training component to help develop lean muscle tissue, excessive cardio will drop your metabolism.
Really the most effective way to drop fat is through developing lean muscle tissue which helps you burn fat 24 hours a day. We'll help guide you through a proper strength training program that will develop lean muscle tissue.
When people want to lose weight they always think of diets and cardio - and these are the two least effective tools to create dramatic and lasting transformations.

Is
your facility a gym?
Oxygen Personal Training Studio is a private personal training studio.
We see clients privately so the only time our clients are there is if
they are working out with a trainer. You get personal attention whether
its one-on-one or in a group.
Do you train clients outdoors?
The majority of sessions are conducted indoors- we have all the equipment
required to make rapid transformations to clients' bodies. We find that
outdoor workouts tend to be more focused on cardio, which is an important
part of any fitness program, but cardio alone will not get clients to
their goals.
Clients who are new to training lack the stamina to be able to have an effective workout outside and spend much of the session standing around.
As well as the studio being fully equipped your session will never be too wet, too cold, too dark, too muddy, too windy, too hot, and you wont be cleaning sand out of every body part for a whole week after every session!
We do take our stronger clients outdoors from time to time to mix up
their program.
